We're looking for creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who are interested in all things Queer, pop culture, and media. Our internships give you hands-on experience working in a creative team environment to produce content in the world of magazine publishing, social media and podcasting. All Internship Requirements:

  • A strong interest in pop culture, Queer culture, media, content creation, graphic design, podcasting, photography, and/or videography

  • Self-directed and able to work without constant supervision 

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

  • Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • 18 years of age or older

  • 10 hours availability per week

  • Located in/near the Atlanta area 

  • Enrollment in university is not required

DESIGN INTERNSHIP

We are searching for a graphic design intern to contribute to WUSSY digital marketing materials, including print and digital advertising, website design, and curation of WUSSY MAG. This position will have the opportunity to design for all aspects of WUSSY as needed, with special focus on social media, flyers, web, and aspects of the printed magazine.  Candidates must have a solid understanding of graphic design principles, interest in editorial design and comfortability and experience in using design platforms/digital media software (such as Adobe Cloud, Canva, etc)  Candidates must also have a willingness to take direction and learn from design professionals while producing content in a face-paced environment. 

Design Internship Responsibilities:

  • Create layouts for advertisements/flyers, social media, web, magazines, or other materials as needed

  • Concept, plan, and deliver assets for campaigns, web, infographics, posters and more

  • Develop a portfolio of work that will be used to support the WUSSY brand

  • Participate in the planning of the art for WUSSY MAG

  • Assist and provide other WUSSY team members with content production as needed

PODCAST INTERNSHIP

We are searching for a podcast intern to help record, edit and contribute to the WUSSY podcast series - Good Judy, WUSSY Movie Club, Pure Garbage, Secure the Gag, and more! This position will help record, edit and produce the podcasts in the WUSSY podcast network. Candidates must have a demonstrated interest in podcasts, as well as some familiarity or experience with audio editing software (such as Adobe Audition, WaveLab, Garageband, etc.)

Podcast Internship Responsibilities:

  • Assist the process of recording, editing, mixing, and other post-productions for the WUSSY podcast network

  • Contribute to planning and development of these podcasts 

  • Communicate regularly with producers and hosts to facilitate show needs

  • Transcribe audio when needed
